Capture the Magic:

2025 Christmas Mini Photo Sessions

Celebrate the Magic of Togetherness: 2026 Christmas Photo Sessions

It’s that special time of the year again. For the very first time, Chalk and Cheese Photography is delighted to extend our Christmas Photo Sessions to our Airbnb community with a great offer sponsored by Airbnb.

Gather your loved ones and capture memories that will last a lifetime in an intimate, beautifully curated holiday experience.

The Heart Behind This Year’s Theme: HOME

Christmas is ultimately about one thing: gathering with the people who anchor us.

Earlier this year, I lost my mum. Facing this upcoming holiday season, I realised our family portraits will never look quite the same again - there will always be a cherished presence missing. That deeply personal loss inspired this year's theme: HOME.

It reminded me how precious, fleeting, and irreplaceable our time together truly is. I wanted to design an experience that honours warmth, connection, and real, quiet moments of togetherness.

Our 2026 setup features elegant French wall paneling in soft beige and delicate blush tones, accented by classic Christmas trees and wrapped presents - evoking the cozy, refined warmth of a living room filled with love.

Full theme setup reveal: 7 November 2026. We can’t wait to welcome you in.

What’s Included in Your Experience

We’ve streamlined our sessions to be relaxed, seamless, and joyful—focused on capturing authentic smiles without stress.

Your 30-Minute Session Features:

• Focused & Fun Timing: 30 minutes in our professionally styled studio setup. Plenty of time to capture true magic, but quick enough to keep young children happy and engaged.

• Essential Grouping Combinations:

  • Whole Family (Parents + Children)

  • Siblings Together

  • Individual Portraits of Each Child

• At Least 10 Hand-Edited Images: Every delivered photo is individually retouched for lighting, colour balance, and holiday polish, with select square-format crops designed to showcase the setup perfectly.

• High-Resolution Digital Files: No forced print packages or hidden digital fees. As a photographer and a parent, I believe digital memories belong in your hands to keep, share, and pass down for generations.

• Optional Gallery Prints: Premium archival physical prints can be ordered directly through your private online gallery, produced by renowned New Zealand album makers Queensberry.

Who Are These Sessions For?

To ensure high quality and variety within our 30-minute timeframe, these sessions are designed for intimate family groups of up to 6 people maximum (e.g., 2 adults and up to 4 children).

How It Works

1. Reserve Your Time Slot

Select your preferred time slot for 7 or 8 November 2026 via our booking calendar. Please arrive on time and ready to go, as late arrivals may shorten your session window.

2. The Session

Arrive fully dressed in your chosen attire. While there is no strict dress code, matching holiday pajamas, cozy knits, or classic smart-casual outfits look wonderful. Avoid colours that match the backdrop too closely (the set features warm beige and subtle blush accents). Please note: All photos use our styled holiday setup; plain background options are not available.

3. Digital Delivery

Your fully retouched digital gallery will be delivered straight to your inbox within 4 weeks of your session - in plenty of time for holiday sharing!
