The Pure Studio Experience

What to expect when you book with Chalk and Cheese
We know that professional photography can feel like a big event, especially with kids! That’s why we’ve refined our process to be as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. Here is how we turn your family’s connection into lasting art:
1. The Planning
Once you book, we’ll have a quick chat (by phone or email) to plan your session. We’ll talk through the vibe you’re after for your family, whether that’s French wall panelling or the clean, modern look of our white, grey, or blue backdrops, as well as the option of taking portraits on the bed. We have a queen-size bed styled with neutral pillows and soft throws.
We’ll also share our What to Wear guide to help your family look coordinated while still feeling natural.
2. The Creative Session
3. Delivering the Magic
About two weeks after your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery of your edited images. This is the exciting part, where you get to see the laughter and love captured in high resolution.
This is where we’re different from many other studios. We don’t offer a free photoshoot followed by pressure to purchase prints. Instead, you’ll receive all edited high-resolution images via a downloadable link.
There’s no return visit to the studio and no sales pressure. You can view and choose your photos in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace, and print them wherever you like, including your local photo kiosk.

Only if it suits you, you may choose to upgrade to one of our wall art collections.
Your online gallery is powered by Queensberry in New Zealand. Queensberry is also our wedding album printer and my trusted supplier for enlarged prints. They offer beautifully printed, handmade photo albums, photo boxes, frames, and prints.
If you’d like high-quality enlarged prints, you can order directly from your online gallery and Queensberry will mail them straight to you. If you’re keen to create a photo album, you’re welcome to contact me and I’ll design it for you.
