The Holiday season is almost upon us. And yes, we know it can be a chaotic time! Why not take a deep breath and pop in for a Mini photo session to capture moments of fun and connection amidst the year-end rush?
Our Mini Christmas sessions are specifically designed for busy families who want beautiful, professional memories without the long commitment (or stress!) of a full photoshoot
We are excited to welcome you to our new, fully air-conditioned studio. It’s designed to be a relaxing space regardless of the weather outside. We encourage you to bring your authentic selves - we want to see your family's unique personalities shine!
In a focused 20 minutes, we will capture the perfect images for your holiday cards, gifts for grandparents, and cherished memories for your walls.

The "Mini" Experience: What’s Included
We’ve streamlined the process to make it quick, fun, and rewarding. Our goal is to get genuine smiles and beautiful compositions in a short amount of time.

Efficient Timing: A focused 20-minute session in our festive, professionally styled studio setup. Plenty of time for magic, but quick enough that the kids won’t get restless.

At least 10 photos: Every image you receive is hand-edited for colour, lighting, and a touch of holiday magic. A few photos will be in a square format to showcase the Christmas setup at its best.
High-Resolution Digital Images:
I’m not a fan of print-only offers, like mass scale Santa photo sessions. As a photographer and a parent, I prefer having photos in digital format so they can be kept as memories for the kids and future generations. That’s why this Christmas Mini Photo Session includes high-resolution digital files, with no extra cost for the digital copies. If you’d like prints, you can also order high-quality ones through our online gallery. These are produced by our wedding album provider, Queensberry in New Zealand.
Who Are These Sessions For?
These mini-sessions are specifically designed for intimate family groups to ensure we can deliver high-quality variety within the 20-minute timeframe.
Perfect for Small Families: The sessions are ideal for groups of up to 6 people maximum (e.g., 2 adults and up to 4 children).
Fur Babies are welcome: 20 December will be the pet-friendly session. Just a small note — your pets do need to be friendly and somewhat under control. If your dog treats chaos as a personality trait, this might not be their day. We’d rather they didn’t chew the presents or the decorations.
How It Works
Book Your Spot
Choose your preferred date and time through our online calendar. Each Christmas Mini Session runs for 20 minutes, but the calendar will show a 30-minute slot to allow a 10-minute buffer for late arrivals and setup. Please aim to arrive on time. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, you may lose part or all of your session.
The Session
Arrive dressed and ready to begin. There’s no set dress code for this Christmas photo session, but it’s worth considering the Christmas theme and the backdrop prepared for this shoot. Matching Christmas pyjamas are always a fun option. Try to avoid wearing colours that blend into the backdrop. The session includes 20 minutes of relaxed posing and a range of combinations. All photos will be taken with our Christmas backdrop, and we’re unable to accommodate requests for plain-background shots.
The Delivery
Your edited digital photos will be delivered within one week of your session date. Photos taken on 20 December will be delivered by Christmas Eve.

I hereby confirm the above photography booking and have read and agreed to the following terms:
All original images, whether on film or electronic medium, belong to Chalk and Cheese Photography. As the person(s) commissioning the photography, we agree that Chalk and Cheese Photography may publish, exhibit, or enter the photographs and/or video footage into competitions.
Upon completion of the commissioned photography, all outstanding monies shall be paid according to the payment term, regardless of whether the commissioned work is to be collected or otherwise.
Chalk and Cheese Photography takes the utmost care with the production and delivery of the commissioned work. However, in the event that Chalk and Cheese Photography fails to comply with the terms of the contract due to any event or act that prevents the delivery of the commissioned work, Chalk and Cheese Photography's liability shall be limited solely to a refund of any or all monies I have paid, and my sole remedy shall be receiving such a refund.

- Unlimited photographs (at least 10 great photos — and if you’ve worked with me before, you know I tend to over deliver. I like to keep the number conservative, especially with little ones, because anything can happen on the day.)
